It’s very common to notice many falaicha all over small trekking rotes. These are basically simple bench structures made for resting while walking through the paths in hilly area. I had no idea on who makes and rennovates them before I spent more than a month in himalayan district of Nepal : Sankhuwasabha. We might guess it to be the work of local government to make and rennovate them which might be even true in lower hills of Nepal.
But near the himalayan belt in the places with Bhote and Sherpa community, falaichaas have completely different value and meaning. In those community, people construct these falaichaas in memory of their beloved ones praying for their peace in heaven. More interestingly, in case of any ruins only the family member of the same house are allowed to rennovate it and are contacted to do so.

So , the information about the family constructing these structures is also mentioned in the top of the bench so that they can be informed about any ruins in the structure which I used to misread as “marketing” of the family constructing it before I knew how this works. I don’t know what use this information can be of, but it’s about knowing these little things that makes traveling much more fun !
